For the third year running, they tasked us with producing a report that balanced style with substance, building on the high standards of previous years.
Our challenge was to take data-heavy content and transform it into something memorable, relevant and engaging for a diverse audience of stakeholders and investors.
What began as a rainbow of sticky notes on a workshop whiteboard became an equally colourful, interactive PDF report with smooth and intuitive navigation, stunning visuals and mass appeal. Highlighting Viridor’s achievements over the previous twelve months and guiding the reader through their journey.
With input from across the Viridor Group (Energy and Polymers), we combined both journeys and strategies into a single cohesive narrative – using visual and graphic devices wherever possible to break technical content down into digestible chunks.
We knew that the more visually we could tell the story, the more people we could reach. Bespoke illustrations helped bring data to life in an accessible and meaningful way and a supporting animation brought attention to the real-world impact of Viridor’s achievements.
People-focused imagery was a key feature of the report. In particular, photography that celebrates the wider Viridor community and the life-changing charity initiatives they support.
Viridor’s ESG purpose of building a world where nothing goes to waste is now ingrained in the hearts and minds of every employee. By distilling complex information into visual shorthand, the report has successfully engaged a wider readership and helped demonstrate Viridor’s vision in action.
